Large Munsterlanders Gus & Rumour

Rumour, Champion Ichbin by Design JW competed in field trials, gaining a Show Gundog Working Certificate and a first place in a novice field trial.  We also entered quite a few working tests, but lacked the ‘fine-tuning’ and struggled in the open classes.  She now goes ‘beating’ in the winter and is allowed to do pretty much what she likes, but she has always been such a steady, easy dog she never gets into too much trouble.

Gus, Gorsebank Baron Augustin, has done several working tests now and there are things I like about him and things that drive me nuts.  He is certainly different to Rumour!  Whether he will ever have the control to compete in trials or take out on a shoot I don’t know.

There are plenty of people out there regularly using their Munsters for the sport they were bred for, I just play at it!
