Sharing our love of Large Munsterlanders

This was our “introduction” to Douglas!

He looks to be a very in-your-face typical young munster!

We do hope to encourage new people to join in.  This is not a closed shop, or one breeder promoting their breeding, this is for munsters and their owners - everywhere, all getting together to support the AHT and the health and welfare of animals..................... Updated, 8th May, 2009.  “Douglas is10 months old now- He has started gun dog training with the Worcestershire Gundog Club and recently went on a Rory Major Training day organised by the LMC. Matt ‘does’ the gundog training and I (Kate) have started a bit of showing. We missed our first show, well we turned up but too late, so we went to WELKS 2009 un- shown and so we were thrilled with a 2nd in puppy dog and 3rd in a strong Junior class qualifying for Crufts at our first ever go in the show ring. Sarah and his brother Loki won top puppy so kept it in the Paddockridge family!

Doug is also a stable dog and comes to help with my horse ‘Roland’. You’ll see him trotting about the horse shows and cross country events where he thinks he should be the one jumping through ditches and water.

Most of all he’s just a big silly clown and makes us laugh with his silly ways!”    As the photo’s below illustrate, Matt does the working side, Katie the showing, and Doug - he’s happy to go along and then knows just how to relax! “ Every picture tells a story - don’t it?” as the song says.........

Many of these pages are “novice” owners, new to the breed, but I am sure, Katie, and many of the others would be happy to share their impressions and experience of the breed - and how they fit in, (or take over) your life..... or with your horse!

Doug has continued to do well in the show ring, with several first place cards to his credit.
